Practical guide

Define the champion role

Champions are not shadow IT or policy authorities. They facilitate learning, model safe practice, help colleagues find guidance and escalate issues to the appropriate owner.

Select a representative network

Include different functions, locations, levels and patterns of work. Choose people with credibility, curiosity, communication skills and enough time to contribute.

Prepare champions to facilitate

Cover responsible AI foundations, role-based workflows, coaching, resistance, policy questions, human review and how to run useful office hours.

Provide reusable materials

Give champions facilitator guides, scenarios, checklists, escalation routes, FAQs and approved examples that remain aligned with current policy.

Create a continuing community

Use regular sessions to share lessons, review changes, identify needs and improve learning. Champions should not operate alone.

Measure what changes

Track participation, confidence, use-case quality, support requests, issue patterns, adoption and operational outcomes—not just course completion.
